About Tanga
As a child growing up on a farm in North Carolina, I always had a wild imagination and a creative need to explore. Nature has always inspired and informed my design choices. From structures and textures to colors and tones, there’s always something to learn from the great outdoors.
After years in marketing, sales, and fashion, I finally found my niche in the wonderful world of interiors. I spent time studying in North Carolina and London before making my home here in the textured city of New Orleans. With more than 15 years of design experience, including 12 years managing a furniture showroom in New Orleans, I use this diverse array of experience to broaden my scope of design possibilities.
For me, design isn’t something I can just switch off; it is always present – especially when I travel. My job is to convey the creative ideas to the client and hope they are as excited as I am about seeing them come to life.

As a creator, I’m always looking for what’s new and fresh in the fast-paced worlds of food, fashion, and furnishings. I believe that world-class design involves a delicate blend of originality and adaptation. Every space is different, and your individual taste and lifestyle requires a unique solution. For nearly two decades, I’ve been creating and curating custom experiences that enhance everyday life.
After working with numerous clients over the years, I’ve been repeatedly described as “hands on, creative, resourceful, observant, dependable and detail-oriented”. No matter what we encounter together, I approach each project with the lens of a problem solver, staying aware of possibilities and open to inspiration. I am most creative when there is a complex problem to solve, and will go out of my way to deal with unforeseen issues.

When I’m not working, I enjoy exploring the rich culture found around every corner of New Orleans. I spend my time listening to live music, attending art openings, horseback riding, cooking, gardening, diving into history, experiencing the local architecture and travelling abroad.
